There's something incredibly comforting about a homemade batch of Easy Fudgy Brownies. Rich, chocolatey, and irresistibly chewy, these brownies capture the essence of classic American desserts.
Ingredients
Scale:
1 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
1 cup granulated sugar
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 cup chocolate chips (optional)
1/2 cup chopped walnuts (optional)
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x9 inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper for easy removal of the brownies.
In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt until well combined.
In a large bowl, combine the melted butter and granulated sugar. Whisk until smooth and creamy.
Add the eggs to the butter mixture, one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined.
If you’re using chocolate chips or walnuts, fold them in gently at this stage.
Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan, spreading it evenly with a spatula.
Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
Remove from the oven and allow to cool in the pan for at least 15 minutes before slicing into squares.
