A delicious and satisfying dinner option combining savory ground beef with tangy feta and sweet garlic hot honey, perfect for quick weeknight meals or casual gatherings.
Ingredients
Scale:
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
¾ cup warm water
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 pound ground beef
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon paprika
Salt and pepper to taste
1 cup feta cheese, crumbled
½ cup cream cheese, softened
2 tablespoons garlic hot honey
1 tablespoon lemon juice
Fresh parsley, for garnish
Instructions
Prepare the flatbread: In a large bowl, mix together the flour, baking powder, and salt until evenly combined. Gradually add warm water and olive oil, mixing until a dough forms.
Knead the dough: Transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead for about 5 minutes until smooth. Cover with a damp cloth and let it rest for 15 minutes.
Cook the ground beef: In a skillet over medium heat, add ground beef and season with garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Cook for 7-10 minutes until browned.
Make the garlic hot honey: In a small saucepan, combine honey with minced garlic. Heat over low for 3-5 minutes.
Prepare the feta cream: In a mixing bowl, combine crumbled feta cheese, softened cream cheese, garlic hot honey, and lemon juice. Mix until smooth.
Cook the flatbread: Divide the dough into four equal portions. Roll each portion into a flat circle about ¼ inch thick. Cook each flatbread for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown.
Assemble the flatbreads: Spread a generous layer of garlic hot honey feta cream over each flatbread and top with cooked ground beef.
Serve and garnish: Drizzle additional garlic hot honey over the top and sprinkle with fresh parsley before serving.
