Pizza Sliders are the perfect mix of convenience and flavor, making them a standout choice for any gathering or family dinner. These mini pizza sandwiches are not just delightful to eat; they also evoke the comforting flavors of traditional pizza in a fun, bite-sized format.
Ingredients
Scale:
12 dinner rolls (sweet Hawaiian or regular)
1 cup pepperoni slices
2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
1/2 cup homemade pizza sauce (or store-bought)
1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
1 tablespoon garlic powder
1 tablespoon grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) to ensure even baking and optimal melting of the cheese.
Lightly grease a 9x13-inch baking dish with cooking spray or butter.
Carefully slice the dinner rolls in half horizontally, keeping them connected for easy assembly.
Place the bottom halves of the rolls in the baking dish and spread 1/2 cup of pizza sauce evenly over them.
Layer the pepperoni slices over the sauce, followed by the shredded mozzarella cheese and Italian seasoning.
Place the top halves of the rolls back on and brush the melted butter on top. Sprinkle garlic powder and Parmesan cheese over the rolls.
Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 15 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes or until golden brown.
Let the sliders cool for a few minutes before slicing them apart. Serve warm with extra pizza sauce for dipping.
