Description
A refreshing drink made from watermelon and lime, perfect for summer gatherings.
Ingredients
Scale:
- 4 cups watermelon, cubed and seedless
- 1/2 cup fresh lime juice (about 4-5 limes)
- 2 cups water (filtered or sparkling)
- 1/4 cup agave syrup or honey (adjust based on sweetness preference)
- Ice cubes
- Mint leaves for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Cut the watermelon into cubes, removing any seeds. Optionally, blend the watermelon and strain it for a smoother texture.
- Roll the limes on a countertop to release more juice, then cut them in half and squeeze them until you have about 1/2 cup of juice.
- In a blender, combine the watermelon cubes, lime juice, and water. Blend until smooth, about 30-45 seconds.
- Taste the mixture and if more sweetness is needed, add agave syrup or honey and blend again.
- Pour the Watermelon Limeade into a pitcher and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to chill.
- Fill glasses with ice cubes and pour the chilled Watermelon Limeade over the ice. Garnish with mint leaves if desired.
