A delightful treat that transforms ordinary Oreos into extraordinary desserts, perfect for fairs, parties, or simply satisfying your sweet tooth.
Ingredients
Scale:
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 tablespoon sugar
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup milk
1 large egg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Vegetable oil (for frying, about 2-3 cups depending on your pot size)
Powdered sugar (for dusting)
Chocolate syrup or whipped cream (optional)
Instructions
In a deep pot or a deep fryer, pour enough vegetable oil to submerge the Oreos about 2-3 inches deep. Heat the oil to 350°F (175°C).
In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. In a separate bowl, whisk together the egg, milk, and vanilla extract, then mix it into the dry ingredients until just combined.
Carefully dip each Oreo into the batter, ensuring it is fully coated.
Gently lower the batter-coated Oreos into the hot oil, frying them for about 2-3 minutes or until golden brown.
Use a slotted spoon to remove the fried Oreos from the oil and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil. Dust with powdered sugar and serve warm.
